New to the forum and about to become a D5 owner next week.
It's a 2019 (MY2020) 2.0 SD4 HSE model with 30k km on the clock. It's in a very good condition and is being sold by Land Rover dealership, however since its 2019 model it's out of warranty already. The fact didn't bother me that much until I read up on posts in this forum and all of the stories of SD4 engines dying with very low milage. I am coming from BMW 4 series that has 260k km on the clock without any breakdowns whatsoever. Obviously I don't expect that kind of luck with D5 and I'm ok with reasonable services costs but an engine out of warranty does sound very scary. Is it really that widespread, are 2019 models affected and would you go for it?
