TPMS and spare wheel

Hi
I have a 3L Hse Luxury with TPMS. Am I correct in assuming the spare wheel, although monitored, will only generate a warning if there is a loss of pressure. The TPMS display only shows the four wheels and their respective pressures; nothing for the spare. And it is there I have just checked !
