They should have applied the fix for the early service message at the same time surely?

Register on Topix and make sure they do all the ones that you think affect your car, they will have no excuse then!!

i had an issue with the sim card as well. apparently you need to use a micro sim and not a nano sim with adapter. gave it in to the dealer. the reader had to be replaced. carefuuly inserted a new sim card with adapter and it worked. so will not remove it unless absolutely necessary.

I am also having problems with sim cards. I have tried 3 different ones now and no success. They have all been 4g data only sim cards. Can anyone tell me if it needs to be a 3g card, or has anyone successfully used a 4g sim card?
If 4g cards should work then I guess it must be a problem with the reader itself and requires a replacement.

I use a Three 4g data Sim valid for 12 months, in fact it has just expired and I am now on a new one.

MY17 are 3G and MY18 are 4G. But MY17 will take a 4G Sim and work as 3G.
