Hi, can anyone please help.
Back in August while on holiday in the Isle of Wight, I had an engine warning light showing adblue low when this had been topped up prior to the journey from the midlands. I spoke to customer services and they could not help as there were no LR dealerships on the island, but book into my local garage on my return. However a couple of days later the message cleared therefore I didn’t bother to book the car to be looked at.
Now three months later I had a message that my adblue was running low, so I added approximately 8 litres and then checked the level on the car system, this then stated I have 15k of miles.
The next day I received the error message “Diesel Exhaust Fluid Dosing Malfunction”.
I have booked the car into my local dealership but cannot get an appointment for 3 weeks and now down to 300 miles until engine shutdown!
I have read that if I drive the car for 40 miles this will again clear although I am reluctant to use the miles with only 300 to go!
A friend suggested unconnecting the battery for an hour to reset the software but I am reluctant?
Any advise please.
