Rear camera / parking sensor clash

Hi, I have a new disco 5 with surround sensors and cameras. In several instances I am finding the camera unreliable and wondered if anyone else had experienced issues? Or has any solutions? When executing 3 point turn whereby you reverse, go forward and engage front sensors then switch back to reverse the parking sensor display overrides the rear view camera. You can supposedly push the camera icon to get it back, but it is slow and doesn’t always work. Also on a number of occasions it cuts back to home screen, again obscuring camera. Really want the camera to override sensor display rather than the reverse. Anybody else has issues with camera? Thanks vm

Hi Darvus,
I have only got the reverse camera but have similar problems. Select reverse and parking aid warning comes on screen and it will not switch to camera.
Hoping it was just a computer glich as for the past month it has been behaving itself.

My camera fails to come on sometimes when I need to go backwards and forwards in quick succession. Ok first time but then just get the reversing screen for the sensors. Not every time I should add. Fault random.

I get this all the time now. Seems worse since the ICTP Phase 3 Update too. It’s in tomorrow to have the software all updated again and this is one of the (many) issues I’ve reported.

Thanks all, i’m told that the reason it comes on when quickly going back and forward is that it assumes you are moving out of a tight space and so thinks sensors are more useful, but this seems silly to me. Rear view camera should override and there is a split screen for sensors at times, why not always?

5imon - would be interested to hear if software update helps at all.

Thanks all

No it's not ideal. As usually it's when I'm hitching up the caravan/boat so need the camera.

@darvus... my car is still at the dealer. It’s being stubborn in taking on board it’s software reflash. LR really are not good at software updates. Each and every single module needs to be checked and updated. There’s no ‘Update All’ option.

Dealers have to spend crazy amounts of time checking and updating and not being fully paid by LR to do so.

I will let you know if my rear camera activation is fixed 👍🏻

All software done and latest LTB’s applied. Won’t get car back till tomorrow as a new passenger seat frame is on order for row 2. Seat won’t slide so needs replacement.

Car back. Rear camera so far seems faster to appear and had no failure to activate yet. Will let you know how it goes.
