The Discovery is 25 years old in 2014, and for the first time ever it’s become a family of vehicles, as Land Rover launched the Discovery Sport earlier this week to create a two-model Disco line-up. In turn, the full-size Discovery of today will be replaced by a fifth-generation model in 2016, as previewed by the Discovery Vision concept. And whereas the small Evoque is the most radical interpretation of the design language of the Range Rover brand, Land Rover’s design director and chief creative officer Gerry McGovern admits it’ll be the bigger Discovery that is more adventurous in its appearance than the Discovery Sport.
