Ingenium 6 cylinder engine

So the car is launched with the TD6 engine with 250ish bhp. Websites say that Ingenium 6 cylinder 3.0 d will be released in 2017. Is this going to be a repeat of the Discovery Sport launch, 6 months in change the engine, leaving 1st buyers high and dry with an old engine that no one wants....
Yes I remember that from the Disco launch.
The new engines are due late 2017 but no telling when the Duscovery will get them, I don't know if they will roll them out to other models first.
On the Disco Sport launch many were happy with the tried and tested older engine over the brand new one. Depends what you feel I suppose?
