Auto hold enablement on Electric Parking Brake

Before we bought our new Disco 5 2 weeks ago, we had a test drive in a similar demonstrator vehicle. During the test drive we noted that the parking brake came on automatically when we came to a stop - a neat feature we may have been interested in. However, try as I might (and after numerous conversations with the dealer) I can't see how to enable this feature. The EPB can be applied only manually - obviously it disengages when the accelerator redal is touched. Do any members of the forum have any idea with this one please? The demo vehicle DEFINITELY had it on, I'm sure I wasn't dreaming!

Check the manual for "Hill Start Assist". Maybe this is what you saw. It stops the vehicle moving for a very short time between moving your foot off the brake to the loud pedal. It is designed to stop the car rolling backward during hill starts. Works great on mine.

As far as im aware mine only comes on when i select park. To be honest not givern it much thought but can't say i have experienced the car excessively rolling back. But having said that i would manually apply the handbrake should i be on a steep hill with the caravan on the back prior to a hill start when say in a queue.
