Hi all - this might sounds like a strange question, but how do I know whether the air recirculation is working? Obviously I press the button (either hold it down or a quick press depending on how long I want it to be on for) and then the orange LED comes on. Here's the thing, if I'm in traffic, pass through some smoke or behind a bus belching out fumes, I still get the odd strong whiff of this inside the cabin.
So, when air recirculation is on, does it in fact allow a small amount of air inside the cabin periodically (for what I'm sure will be a logical reason beyond my understanding) or will fumes still be able to get in the car anyway because the vehicle just isn't completely airtight (understandable) or is it a fault?
Any thoughts or comments on this much appreciated.
Thanks
Marcus
Air Recirculation
I had the same with our disco 4 when it was brand new.
It needed a software change as it didn’t really close the outside air, meaning nothing really happened (although the light you mentioned went on as well so you think it works when it is not...)
After the adjustment all worked fine.
