Can this be retro fitted after pickup?

My car has park assist, lane change assit, AEB but not adaptive cruise

talked with my service manager, it cannot. here are the reasons:

No, for a few reasons.



1: I don't believe the wiring will be installed in the vehicle.



2: Land Rover would never allow us to recode the vehicle for it. This affects multiple modules.



3: The cost would be so high between components and labor you would be better off to obtain a different vehicle.

Not a problem at all. I had the adaptive CC installed by a third-party - the wiring is in place. The only thing you have to do is to install the radar unit into the place behind the bumper cover, attach it to the socket hanging behind, replace the button set on the wheel and have all the stuff programmed. That is all Works as if istalled at manufacture.

Needless to say that this is not what an official dealer would allow. But took mine disco to them for a software and infotainment update (360 cams issue) and they did not notice i have had such an upgrade. ) do not know whether the uk dealers do a vin check for the options installed but mine (a Ukrainian dealer) does not do.

Btw, here are some options that i have activated: lane keep assist, lane departure control, dynamic mode of terrain response with configuration appeared in the intouch extra features.

How did you get the lane keep asssist activated? Did you have it recoded?
