Infotainment and usb stick

Has anyone had any success using the usb stick with music please?
I have tried every type of file my computer will let me create, and the infotainment system doesn't recognise any of them.

The MP3 file type works fine in my boxster but is not recognised in the landie. Any suggestions please? I know the infotainment system has other problems too but i'm not sure if this is just me not finding the file type it needs.

I've had no problem, just ripped CD's onto USB using Windows Media Player whihc creates .mp3 files and also the album sleeve displays fine. I'm using a SanDisk stick 64GB. Are you using the USB port in the centre console?

Yes the centre console port, .mp3 files and a kingston data traveller 64b stick? Message reads 'format not supported for multi media system'

Mine plays fine. Only problem it takes an age to initialize can lock the the system up for a few minutes while it reads the stick. Mines in the SE so a different system to the HSE.

Maybe try formatting the USB stick with a different filesystem. If it's ExFAT or NTFS, try Fat32.
