As the title suggests interested to know when you ordered the car, build date, expected delivery and the model ordered :

Mine is as following:

Ordered: 6 Oct 16
Build Date: 17 Mar 17
Expected Delivery: Mid Apr 17
Model: 3.0 TD6 HSE

I ask as I have been told that they are building 2.0 litre cars first, well that is what the dealer said.

Ordered 24th October.

Built 13th January.

Arrived at my dealer this Monday 20th February

3.0 td6 first edition in namib orange.

Pick up 2.30pm 1st March.

Ordered 31st October (deposit placed April 2016)
Built 14th Feb
Due at dealer 27th Feb
Pick-up 2nd March

2.0td HSE

Build Date: Unknown
Expected Delivery: 30 June 2017

Deposit: £1000 paid to Local Dealer April 2016. We became aware of people placing orders in Nov 16 to find that the local dealer had no record of us placing this order (via credit card) and quoted us a new order delivery date of Aug/Sept 2017. When we gave details of the credit card payment made in April, they eventually traced it, but said we weren't 'on the system' and when we gave the order spec it would be treated as a 'new order' with delivery still Aug/Sept 2017! Obviously, not impressed, threw toys out of prom, and cancelled in disgust. Visited another JLR dealership 20 miles away - very knowledgeable, very helpful and super professional. Paid out another £1000 deposit (7/11/2016) and put in detailed order, approx del date Feb/Mar 2017.

Build Date: 17/02/2017

Delivery into Dealer: 24/03/2017

Collection Date: 30/03/2017

Model: TDE 3.0 HSE

Colour: Corris Grey - Nimbus Interior

Sorry to hear your experience. Mine has been exactly the same as you. Once I had paid the deposit they pretty much didn't want to know me. So I cancelled my order After visiting another Land Rover Dealer much further away. I went in looking like a wet dog just to see how they deal with people. They were awesome so I did exactly the same thing as you paid deposit on spot and now am very happy with them.

I researched the car to the nth degree but didn't research the people i was buying from.

Hi Lee, sorry to hear you also had a poor experience. Went back into our new dealers yesterday for a test drive of an HSE 3.0l - AWESOME! Everything we hoped for and more! Then got taken 'out the back' for a surprise...... Toddled off behind our salesman to find they'd taken early delivery, and there was our car, still in its wrappers. Being prepped as we speak and picking up next Wed now, 1st March. Happy days! Good luck with yours and enjoy.

I have just joined the forum and I am enviously reading the details of your orders. The Falkland Islands, where I live are at the back of the queue for orders. After being given January then February as possible order dates we are now told maybe the end of April! Delivery will be 18 - 32 weeks from that date. Still, at least I will get to see what you like and dislike about your vehicles before I am able to confirm.

My car was due for build tomorrow so I called up the dealers for some news and they told me that it has been put back a week to the 24th but hopefully will still be able to collect prior to the Easter break.
