Complimentary Upgrade

Hello there,
Just wonder has anyone done the complimentary Incontrol upgrade?
I’ve got the touch pro discovery 5, 67 plate. Don’t know if I’m eligible to upgrade with the extra features?
Also how would you know if your car needs updating new software? In my car in all setting I can’t see any software option or icon. This will be possible to get this?
Lastly, i put the data sim card but it seems does not recognise the network. All the time is saying Reading Sim. I’m 110 percent i put the sim in the right position and it latched it.
