does anyone have an email address for senior people in JLR? Want to copy them to the complaint(s) I am sending to my supplying dealer. To be far all of the compaint is about the dealer and no defect to the originally built car.

Hi Amelia,

I purchased my car in March 2017. In that time I’ve been a big supporter of the car and brand and have been reluctant to accept any criticism about it.

I had relatively few problems with the vehicle until October 18 since then I’ve had endless problems.

On Boxing Day 18 the engine seize leaving us stranded with the car for 9 hours- it had a new engine fitted and has been plagued with problems since. On Sunday last week my wife and 3 children had to spend 6 hours stuck with the car.

The car cost over 70k and we have no confidence in it.

Since it was purchased (27 months ago) it’s had 22 roadside assistance callouts and 29 warranty jobs.

This situation has turned me from a happy customer to a very disgruntled one. When I finally got sick of not having my car and not having any faith in the vehicle I contacted jaguar Landrover.

I told them I wanted a new vehicle (obviously I would be prepared to contribute).

Landrover have said they'd give me £1k.

I find this abhorrent. This is the 3rd landrover I’ve owned if I don’t get better customer service it will certainly be the last, my father was looking at buying a new range rover and is now put off. I live in a fairly small town in Scotland and it’s well known just how bad my car is - I’d go as far as saying it’s a source of amusement to some locals.

I am looking into getting it wrapped with all the details and faults we have endured.

I really would like landrover to look at this again and hopefully provide some good customer service.

Your comments would be most appreciated

Hi Disgruntled,

That sounds like a real disaster!

Hopefully JLR will respond to you but I would also post on the other Disco5 site which has a lot more traffic.
I believe one of the members over there has successfully rejected his car and there is a more help from active owners available.

Cheers
Jim
