How to play movies from your iphone?

Hi,
I am a new Disco 5 owner with an HSE Lux with rear entertainment. Can anyone provide step by step instructions as to how i can play movies from my iphone through the rear screen entertainment. On previous forums someone said "just use hdmi cable". I have this, i'm not completely technically illiterate, but it seems as though there are far more steps than just plug and play.
