Engine note in cabin

Hello all,

I’m new. And I’m just getting to know the car and it’s sounds and quirks.

My question is, how does evetone else’s td6 engine sound in the cabin? I can’t get over the fact that I can hear top end rattle at lower revs. I mean, maybe it’s a landrover thing or maybe it’s a faulty engine but I’ve nothing to compare it too and I was expecting more refinement to be honest. It’s just a bit tracktory if you ask me 🤷🏼‍♂️

Is that normal?

HI Jinbg thanks for the link, I checked it out but I don't think it's what I'm suffering.
This sounds like a cross between the turbo vein actuator rod rattle from the VAG diesels / GTI's etc and a blown head gasket of a E46 M3 (specific I know) basically the engine sounds like it had a biscuit tin with small pebbles in it, sat on the top of it, rattling about.

Much worse going up hill.
