Have you discussed it with the dealer would they be prepared to underwrite any potential services for a period . Im still not convinced its sorted, with mine the milage to service is coming down faster than actual mileage. I do around 8k a year.

Ye, I have asked the question today so I will see what they come back with. I have also asked them to confirm that the software update has been applied to the vehicle. I will see what they say...

Do you know if the software update has been applied on yours CraigP? In which case it hasn't worked?

Hmm seems to be no consistency which is the problem. Some people report the software is the saviour and some people say it's not touched it... it's such a shame as otherwise I cannot wait to own the D5! Decisions...

Hi Craig, did you have the update that was released around January?

Response from the dealer... apparently N222 is not applicable to this vehicle? It's a MY17, is there no software update for 2017 vehicles?

Sorry I am not sure of the numbers, but there are some long threads on the other Disco5 forum about this.

Probably best to read those, but mine is definitely fixed now.

Hi Jim i wouldn't say only getting 5 to 6k between oil changes as the problem fixed. Mine starts off at 16k to next service and maybe also get 6k before i need the interim service, fortunately its free. As far as i know its all up to date. Not sure what i have or haven't got.

Sorry I was replying to the OP's question regarding did I originally have the problem?
I was getting only 5k to 6k before the fix and now it is behaving normally.

The last service was at 16,557 miles in March, I am now at 21,013 miles and an indicated 10,250 miles to go for the next service.
That gives a estimated interval of 14,706 at the present time, close enough I think for my particular usage of the car.
