We have rejected our Disco 5 HSE LUX and a new one is now on order without delays and JLR accepting the case very quickly due to issue after issue.

However they are asking for 40p per mile that I don’t think is right as if they had built the car correctly in the first place it would have not been rejected.,

Has anyone else experienced this and if so what rate were you charged?

Thanks

Had a Disco 3 auto that locked in 3rd gear if it rained and the vehicle got wet underneath. Took a couple of months to find the fault. Faulty connector to gearbox.
Rejected vehicle but got charged a few hundred quid because I'd had the use of the vehicle although it had spent most of its life in the workshop.
Annoying but they gave me a new one which had no faults !!!

I would try and offset their costs with your's. Distress caused by the unfulfilled experience of a new car. Trips taken to and from dealers in your time and the cost. Or you could pay it and save yourself more stress.
3litre SE. Monticello Red. Electric deployable tow bar.

The car has 8000 miles on it.

After a few more issues with the dealer ignoring the 2018 prices and using the 2017 as a starting point that I finally got resolved by a very helpful general manager they have now stated I wont pay any extra than the 8000 miles if I continue to use it (that is unlikely as the car is a fire hazard and unsafe).

Heated seats overheated in the rear and wouldn't switch off. Replacement vehicle in build now.

We had big issues with our new one and now have a brand new one on order. Haven’t had to pay mileage ours was at about 6000 miles and it was 3 months old at rejection.

I'm probably (but hopefully not) about to reject mine; 14,000 miles in 12 months. Many issues; 13 visits to dealer; JLR now involved and hopefully helping.

I expect to pay something as we are contracted for 10,000 miles per annum, but we'll see...
