I would not accept the Sim facility not working, or any other aspect of the car. You paid for it and at trade in time it could be an issue.

I picked up a new Disco 5 last Nov with SIM (Ubigi) card fitted, all working well until last weekend and now getting SIM not supported, tried removing and refitting a number of times. Any clues?

Oh dear, I suspect it is the SIM card, hopefully not the reader. Dare I ask which alternative site?

I had this and it is frustrating, It happened after software update which changed the infotainment screen. I found that by removing the sim card, and then replacing it done the trick and no problem since. I also took the opportunity of giving the sim contacts a clean. I doubt the cleaning done much but whilst it was out. I am using a 3 sim.

Hello there,

I’m new on this forum. I’ve got issue in putting my SIM card. Bought my SIM card from 3 network. When SIM card inserted, select data ON underneath saying READING SIM, on left top side where you can see, supposedly the signal sign but there is \ on it. I also inserted the sim card all the way down but still no luck.

Can anyone please help me on this? Much appreciated!

Many thanks,
Jay

Hi in my limited experience that is normally because the SIM is not fully inserted, i.e. not pushed completely in or round the wrong way, contacts facing the front of the car and angled edge to the near side. Let me know how you get on.
