Re: Dilemma.....

From what I have found out, on that mileage..even your motorway journeys seem small (ish), I would tend towards the petrol. It's scandalous how LR get away with this, but I guess the desirability they have driven does work.... Would you consider getting a 1 year old instead? You could get a one year...

Re: Which Discovery 5 to get for least problems

I've just bought a one year old 3L D, HSE Luxury. I won't lie it was purely for the gadgetry of the seats and the screens. I don't need them, but I can't help myself. I will regret this. From what I have learnt, if you do low mileage, go for the petrol. If you do higher mileage and long runs, maybe ...

Re: Oil dilution 3 tdv6 hse 18 plate

I've been looking into this, a little and it seems that low mileage and lots of short drives, wreaks havoc on this engine. Not that that helps much if it's what you do. Re: Aftermarket Tweaks to Disco 5 Luxury

Thanks for the replies. Did I read that correctly that you had the wheels refinished in black, as opposed to getting black wheels? I might be misreading that.... I've heard good things about 4x4 Derby a few times now...think I'll use my local land rover specialist to black it up and fit rails and si...

Re: New to Discovery ownership - bit of advice

Thank you. Yes, I think wheels will be quite expensive, slightly offset by selling the ones I have, hopefully.. I think I might go for the Landrover roof rails and the black side steps you mentioned, but all fitted by my local land rover specialist, not main dealer. Hopefully warranty will be ok. Th...

Aftermarket Tweaks to Disco 5 Luxury

Just got an 11 month old HSE Luxury just under a year old, after suffering crushing depreciation on a BMW M5 (which is a fantastic car mind).. I seemed to get a pretty good deal on, but it meant I didn't quite get everything I wanted, but all cosmetic. It's in Carpathian grey with 21 inch silver whe...
