Re: InControl Phase 4 Issues
I only ask as it is not showing on the top line of icon's You have a WiFi symbol where I would have expected to see the SIM card signal strength. Maybe turn that off? Just a theory that the update only uses the SIM data option? Also does not look like you are on the latest version:- https://disco5.c...

Electric lower tailgate failed
Hi,
When I opened the boot to let the dog out the lower tail gate only partially opened.
I can manually move it up and down and was wondering if there was a reset or is it another trip ti the dealer?
Cheers
Jim

Re: Oil change at 6800 miles
I have now clocked a 1,000 to get to the Dordogne in France, that was all motorway apart from a few miles each day to get to a hotel.
I did not check on the way down but my mileage to next service is back to 3,400!!
It definitely likes long fast journeys.

Re: Oil change at 6800 miles
Well maybe the software updates have changed something. I started with a distance to next oil service of 3,400 miles. After a 300 mile drive on motorways it now reads 4,150 miles. I guess it "likes" high speed driving and assumes I will be doing more of the same? Interesting to see how it ...

Re: Oil change at 6800 miles
Makes no difference! I drove 2,000 miles on a round trip through France, all motorway apart from short sections each day to get to a hotel. distance to next service still fell dramatically. I am just starting the same trip again and I am hoping that the software upgrades that have been applied &quo...

Re: Would your buy a Discovery 5?
But only one person has actually had the oil checked and it was 0.5% compared to the calculated figure by the car of 6%+ It is a problem on lots of different manufacturers cars because of the Euro6b limits set. JLR are probably being over cautious in their software algorithm to calculate dilution. T...

Re: Would your buy a Discovery 5?
Plenty on the other Disc05 forum that explains the issue and probably not such a big problem after all.
