Re: MPG

I am getting 31.59 mpg (8,94 l/100km) (real MPG, calculated with an app over 6,000 miles) with my D5. Our DS is getting 37,81 mpg (7,74 l/100km) (calculated over 30,621 miles). So I highly doubt every mpg that is not calculated by an app (or yourself) and was measured below a few thousand miles dist...

Re: 19 incl versus 20 inch wheels?

I would go with the 20 inch rims. Tires in 19" size are hard to get. Even off road shops offer sets with the 20 inch rims and General Grabber AT3 or Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. Do you have the air suspension? My D5 came with 22 inch wheels and the air suspension is so comfortable, that I don't ...

Re: New Discovery - Factory Visit

Hi, when did you order it? Over at the Facebook group "Land Rover Discovery 5 Owners Group" there is a guy who ordered November and who got info that he can collect mid February. He now received a mail that he can collect mid march since the production has been moved to Nitra. So if yours ...

Re: LR5 Off-road in Colorado

I have now been driving 10K on Goodyear Duratrac 275/55/r20. Driving much of the time on gravel and off road I must say that my new tires totally change my discovery from a highway SUV to a decent off-road vehicle. Re: What have I done.....

At first it seems big.
After a while, it feels just right, but all the other cars look so tiny! :D

Re: Range Rover Sport vs Disco 5

It depends on what you are looking for. Or in other words, what your driving style is like. If interior size doesn't matter (much), you should go for the RRS if you don't do a lot off-roading and if you like dynamic (sporty) driving. If you are a very relaxed driver and/or like to go offroad, take t...

Re: Which Discovery 5 to get for least problems

Hi Andy, MY19 started a few weeks ago. They just started delivering them. Not a lot out there yet. What is your daily driving style? (How many miles are you driving at what speed?) Mine is like 15 miles with 70% of it 50-60 mph. Rest is city speed limit. Once a week I have a longer run: 28.5 miles w...

Re: Which Discovery 5 to get for least problems

Hi Observer, engine choice isn't an easy decision. Before going into details, there are people here that don't agree with my opinion. So I would advice you to research those points yourself and draw your own conclusion. Older engines (<MY19): 2.0L Ingenium: It's power is enough to get along well. It...

Re: Which Discovery 5 to get for least problems

Guys, how can you possibly suggest engines if you don't even know his daily driving style?
This is like: "Doctor, I feel sick, what should I do?" And you guys immediately start to name your favorite drugs. :?
