Re: New to forum and just about to purchase 18 plate 3.0 TDV HSE
Hi Ade I've had Discos since they first came out and have always loved them. Only issue with a Disco is the computer software. Not sure who Land Rover uses but I wish they would find someone who knew about them because I am beginning to think its the local infant school. No no cannot be it would wor...

Re: Electric lower tailgate failed
Mine has done it on a number of occasions
Have just manually lowered it and it works again for 6mths.
Put it down to the clever computer boffins at land rover.
They would have more success of getting it right if they pssed it over to the local infant school.

Re: New emissions banding
The 3.0l diesel has a co2 of 189. Tax for first 12 months is £1240 not sure if that includes the £310 for vehicles over £40k.
It then drops to £140 a year but still the extra £310 for 5 years.
This info is of the DVLA web site

Re: Would your buy a Discovery 5?
Had mine since last July and other than a few niggles that you get with most new cars its fantastic. Now I've retired I have to find any excuse to get out and enjoy it now I'm not doing the workday run. I've had all the Disco models since they came out and other than a D3 that cost more to fix in th...

Re: Rear camera / parking sensor clash
Hi Darvus,
I have only got the reverse camera but have similar problems. Select reverse and parking aid warning comes on screen and it will not switch to camera.
Hoping it was just a computer glich as for the past month it has been behaving itself.

Re: Head up display and Tyre pressure monitor
Don't have the HUD but the TPMS is a waste of time. Mine tells me the spare is under inflated when it feels like it. Told me the other day my front nearside was low pressure. Checked it with the other tyres and all were reading low but a couple of pounds out on all so must be the inflator that's not...

Re: Hi everyone
Hi Bree
I'm glad I went for the 2 litre.
Not had the problems others have had fortunately.
Only problem is reverse camera doesn't always want to play and normally just when you really need it.
Had all the Discos since first production and still think they are the best.

Re: Car rejection - charged for mileage?
Had a Disco 3 auto that locked in 3rd gear if it rained and the vehicle got wet underneath. Took a couple of months to find the fault. Faulty connector to gearbox. Rejected vehicle but got charged a few hundred quid because I'd had the use of the vehicle although it had spent most of its life in the...
