Re: Route recording no longer showing route path detail
Update - this issue has now been fixed with a specific software update. If you have the same issue you will need to get your dealer to update the cars software. From other conversations I have had it appears some dealers are not aware of the issue or the fix. I assure you that there is a very new fi...

Re: Auto hold enablement on Electric Parking Brake
Check the manual for "Hill Start Assist". Maybe this is what you saw. It stops the vehicle moving for a very short time between moving your foot off the brake to the loud pedal. It is designed to stop the car rolling backward during hill starts. Works great on mine.

Re: panoramic sunroof and global locking
My MY19 HSE Lux does full global open, both blinds, sunroof, and windows, all from the keyfob. Closing is a bit odd, only the rear blind closes when I try from the keyfob. Global close of windows and sunroof is achieved from the button/spot by holding it for a few seconds. This however still leaves ...

Re: Route recording no longer showing route path detail
Thanks for the link. Looks like JLR have a problem and nobody at my dealership seems aware of it. I am amassing data and passing it on to them about the problem. You mentioned that yours sometimes shows a straight line point to point, mine has never show anything but that - just point to point. The ...

Re: Route recording no longer showing route path detail
Yes it is turned on in the app and it is recording the start and finish and all details it is just not showing the actual route details. I have even tried turning routes off and driving to check it wasn't a stupid app issue. It simply recorded nothing as you would expect. When turned back on in the ...

Route recording no longer showing route path detail
I have very recently updated from a My17 D5 HSE-Lux TDV6 to a MY19 HSE-Lux TDV6. The new car has some notable improvements however the route/journey mapping functionality appears broken. My MY17 recorded every trip showing the actual route on the map which is very handy, especially for off-road work...

Re: Discovery 5 text messaging
The 2019 build D5 HSE does read out texts. I had a 2017 D5 HSE - no texts, now have 2019 version - this one reads texts. Maybe its a software upgrade?

Re: HSE Luxury electronic problems
I had one of the first D5's in customer hands in Australia (TDV6 HSE Lux). From day one there was a problem with the display sort of flickering a little left to right randomly just occasionally with no obvious trigger. At first the dealer, who were excellent about it by the way, thought it was a har...

Re: Battery and fuse access
Once you've done it once you'll get it easier next time! The slider can be pushed with fingers but you are better off using a flat bladed screw driver or as simple as an ice-cream stick. There are a set of vents under the back RH side storage box. The slider is in the second from the front set of sl...

Re: 3rd row seats
After they fold down from the first press of the button, assuming electric fold here, if they are not all the way down, press it again, they flatten out a little more, or at least they do for me. Mostly they do it all the way on the first press but just sometimes they need another press for the last...
