Re: Spare wheel theft

Strange that JLR doesn’t think all of its customers are equal, as here we don’t even get the protection from JLR.

Re: Cabin Air Ionisation

I have it, and see absolutely no difference between working and not working. Moreover you have to put it on manual every time as the system doesn’t keep its previous settings. Most of the time you don’t think about it, so it’s off, which makes it an absolute waste of money, my advice: don’t buy it.

Re: Spare wheel protector

Is this only for the British market, as I have a MY18 built delivered in May and it was without the protection. Questions to the dealership about it were never answered by the importer... Bad customer services... as it’s a known problem it should be done without having to beg for it... I bought the ...

Re: Air Recirculation

I had the same with our disco 4 when it was brand new.

It needed a software change as it didn’t really close the outside air, meaning nothing really happened (although the light you mentioned went on as well so you think it works when it is not...)

After the adjustment all worked fine.

Re: Activity key & battery

The Activity Key makes use of a passive diode to communicate with the vehicle and thus requires no batteries, so there’s nothing ever to replace.

Re: Spare wheel theft

Hands up for Ray, I ordered mine with him by email and only 2 days later it arrived here in Albania. Superb service and quality of the piece he made. Highly recommended.

Re: Chip tuning

Interesting link, especially regarding the DPF, which might already be a problem with the current D5 when I read the specific topic on this forum...

Chip tuning

Hi Has anyone experience (positive/negative) with box tuning on the disco 5? I was previously living in South Africa and a lot of people had it on their Disco 4's and seemed happy. I have done 3 LR experience days and the tuning guys were always present as well, but at that moment I was not really i...

Re: Rear screens

Hi Del Thanks again for the reply. You convinced me to take the RSE ;) And the dealer just told me that if the kids really want the iPads as well, I can still order the holders and install them later (as an iPad has more possibilies of course than the RSE), but at the moment the youngest kids are st...

Re: Rear screens

Hi Del, Thanks for the quick reply. We are in the same position than, 3kids in the back. Unfortunately the disco has only 2 isofix in the middle row (q7 has3), but that’s another story. I suppose you don’t use the iPads anymore as iPads with brackets would be the other solution for me? Although I ca...
