Re: Warranty: Direct or 3rd party?

I took mine out with warranty direct. Like all warranties you only find out how good they are when you make a claim. I haven't been in that position as yet. Reading on other forums the LR warranty has the advantage that they deal with everything related to the claim where as warranty direct make you...

Re: New Rear End Noise

Wouldn't except link here's what it said. Hi, I took my 2018 Td6 HSE into Barbagallo in Perth today for them to diagnose an intermittent clunking sound from the rear drivetrain. Plugged in the diagnostic stuff and got a code that lead them to the attached photo of a LR Topix notice. They upgraded th...

Did you apply your foot brake and lift the handbreak as requested to re calibrate? Google your fault seems one or two have experienced this.

Re: New Engine Needed after 2 years & 23k miles

Sorry to hear of your predicament. Unfortunately all too common with the 2 litre. However I have heard through other web sites that LR have covered 100% of the cost. Even when out of warranty. 4/5 year old low mileage engines should not be failing. Check other disco5 websites and fb group.

Re: Electrics failure & Windscreen leak

Hi Guido yes seen plenty of reports on this (leaking windscreen not failed electrics as such but unless these switches are rated for external use it's not such a stretch to link the two). Have you looked on more popular D5 sites for similar? I'm the owner of a early 2017 model and live in dread of t...

Re: Disks and pads

I changed my own rear pads for about £30 to £40. Discs were ok. However LR were quoting well into the £100's for the same job, think I posted on here at the time. It's a fairly easy job so any independent should be ok to carry out. There is a procedure for backing off the electric parking brake on t...
