Re: New Engine Needed after 2 years & 23k miles
Update on our case: After 4 weeks LR Extended warranty assessor has agreed to dealer’s assessment that new engine required and have authorised this. Technician at dealer explained that they think seals around piston had failed and therefore caused scorring to the inside of two of the 4 cylinders. De...

Re: New Engine Needed after 2 years & 23k miles
Interested in your outcome - our 2017 HSE SD4 is currently at Farnell Leeds. Thankfully we have the LR extended warranty in place but have been told be dealer “it needs a new engine” - warranty company have asked for engine to be stripped down to further investigate..... only covered just over 40k s...

Re: Climate control issue
Update: Went in to the dealers today - diagnostics showed a fault code related to the computer's control of how the central aircon unit controls the motorised vents that distribute the air to various parts of the cabin; easily sorted with a software download. Fingers crossed for some more sunshine i...

Re: iPad headrest mounts
Haven't specifically tried but don't see why it should interfere - the click n go base is just a press-fit spring loaded system that sits wedged between the metal uprights of the headrest. Even it it limits the ability of headrest to drop down it takes literally a couple of seconds to fit / remove.....

By the time got chance to ri...

Re: Got mine and a few pointers!
We took delivery on 2nd March and would agree with your observations with regard the sim card - it's not the easiest thing to setup, although I did manage it eventually! Also concur that the gesture opening of the boot lid is pretty tricky to get to work.... We have been really impressed with the bu...

Re: 1st March collection
Hi Huxey
No we didn't really consider the Dynamic pack, my opinion is that it wouldn't be worth it just to get the black roof - I'd agree with what you say of it probably not being enough of a contrast, don't forget also that much of the roof is actually black glass anyway.....

Re: 4G Sim??
Response from JLR technical support
"I can confirm that its capability is a 3G speed. However, if you purchase a 4G sim, it will automatically default to 3G speed regardless."

Re: 4G Sim??
thanks Mike - I think I'm probably going to go for a rolling monthly contract sim, again so I can adjust the data depending on how much I use - was thinking of starting with 4-5GB per month as we use spotify
