LAND ROVER INCONTROL
This is an interesting article which is not all together surprising and something to bear in mind if you are selling or buying your Discovery in the future. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/07/27/jaguar_land_rover_connected_car_privacy/ However, please be aware that this issue also impacts other c...

Windscreen rubber seal issue
I was driving on the M11 motorway on Sunday and the rubber seal from the windscreen came away - please see photo attached. I contacted my Land Rover dealer who informed me that this was a designed fault. They have now replaced the parts which I presumed was authorised and supplied by Land Rover head...

Re: 'Service Required' after only 5,000 Miles - Is this correct?
I also had the service required message pop up as well. The car has done just over 2000 miles and it was indicating that a service was required in around 1500 miles which equates to only 3500 miles! Anyway Barretts Land Rover in Ashford paid me a visit to rectify another issue I was having with my v...

Re: Sim card reader
Another Update: Sim card reader error has still not been rectified. The car has now been with the dealer over 4 weeks and still no resolution. They are receiving guidance and fixes from Land Rover Technicians at head office but as of yet they cannot fix the issue. The technicians at head offic...

Re: Sim card reader
jimbg: I provided my sim card and I am presuming they used that or one of their own. When you say problems with actual SIM cards are we implying that only sim cards that use a specific network i.e. EE will work with the LR sim reader? Would you be able to provide me a link to the Forum where this is...

Re: Sim card reader
Update: Car was returned to me by the dealer last week with a new sim card reader which was apparently tested by the Technician and was deemed to be working fine. When I put my sim card into the unit upon its return I was still getting the same error message ' Sim Card Removed' :x Spoke to the servi...

Re: Sim card reader
I have the same issue - error message ' Sim Card Removed' - and according to Land Rover the sim card reader is faulty and needs to be replaced. Unlike yourself I have never been able to get it to work! The car is being collected on Thursday so hopefully the issue will be rectified shortly. :) Will k...

Re: Rear View Mirror + other issues
I agree very basic stuff and none of the other cars I have had, and that includes a Disco 4 and Evoque, have experienced this issue but hopefully you should not have any issues! :) I cancelled the booking for the faulty sim card reader last week and rearranged for this Friday so hopefully that will ...

Re: Rear View Mirror + other issues
Update: The car was returned to me after 5 days with a new wind screen but the dealer will be picking up the car again this Friday to replace the sim card reader which should only take a few hours to install. Fingers cross all goes well!

Rear View Mirror + other issues
I have the HSE Luxury in Corris Grey with the black pack and I have been really enjoying the car but unfortunately it has now developed a few minor (I hope they do not become major) issues. 1. The bracket that holds the rear-view mirror has come away from the windscreen so the whole unit needs repla...
