Discovery 5 AT tyres
Hi All, Happy new year! I have a question regarding the best AT Tyres for the discovery 5. I have a HSE lux on 21" wheels. Having done some 'lights field/snow driving, it is clear the stock Pirelli Verde All seasons just aren't up to the job. I have looked at the General Grabber AT3 which seem ...

Re: Oil Dilution Issue
That's a very interesting read! Quite shocking that Land Rover/ Jaguar actually have to issue that and 'tailor' sales to driving styles. I've punted for the MY18 3L Discovery HSE Lux in the end. Drove the 2L and just thought it lacked the refinement? But could be me being picky. Checked that the N22...

Re: Oil Dilution Issue
I have decided against the vehicle.
Trying to secure deposit refund and on the hunt for a 2L SD4. I take it the 3L SD4 doesn't have the same oil dilution issue?

Re: Oil Dilution Issue
It's version 2.5 apparently.
It's Doncaster Land Rover in wolverhampton.
More concerning is the lack of clarity around the oil dilution software!

Re: Oil Dilution Issue
Response from the dealer... The vehicle has had an early service light at 30/10/2018 @ 14856 at Land Rover Ipswich in which carried an oil and filter change. In terms of oil changes due to oil dilution anything below 55k miles 16my to 20my free of charge, only in warranty period manufacturer. In ter...

Re: Oil Dilution Issue
Response from the dealer... apparently N222 is not applicable to this vehicle? It's a MY17, is there no software update for 2017 vehicles?

Re: Oil Dilution Issue
Hmm seems to be no consistency which is the problem. Some people report the software is the saviour and some people say it's not touched it... it's such a shame as otherwise I cannot wait to own the D5! Decisions...

Re: Oil Dilution Issue
Ye, I have asked the question today so I will see what they come back with. I have also asked them to confirm that the software update has been applied to the vehicle. I will see what they say...
Do you know if the software update has been applied on yours CraigP? In which case it hasn't worked?
