Re: Adblue top up

I had 1000 miles left and let Halfords do it for £2.

I watched and they used a funnel and just poured it in, allowing the air to gurgle out nearer the end.

It took, about 17litres....I will pour in the remaining 3 litres in a couple thousand miles.

Re: Real Time Traffic

Its not a hardship to just turn on hotspot on my phone when I get in. I have ooodles of data that I never use on my phone (30gb a month and use about 3gb) so seems silly to buy more data when I have loads of unused....

Topix campaigns

I have checked Topix and according to my VIN I have 8 outstanding campaign items. Have been told that's not unusual since not all vehicles suffer issues therefore the campaign item will not be undertaken ifnthe vehicle hasn't suffered a problem. Sounds very strange to me, if there's an update be it ...

Re: Just bought a 2017 HSE

Dealer has agreed with me...whilst it is having the mudflaps put on this week (agreed as part of purchase but delivered to dealer day after I collected the car) they're having the spare swapped for a black one, since it obviously wasn't checked prior to delivery.

Pics to follow when it's clean again!

Just bought a 2017 HSE

Well, regardless of reading some of the stories on here, I jumped in and bought a 13.5 month old Discovery HSE TD6. fingers crossed it turns out to be alright. Car was registered to JLR previously and has the following extras: Black Pack Capability Plus Pack Wade Sensing Adaptive Headlamps Technolog...

Re: Oil change at 6800 miles

I am glad my Volvo just has a set 18000 mile 12 months service and nothing automated to argue otherwise! It's done 94000 miles in the last 5.5 years a mix of maybe 6 short journeys a day (under 10 miles each) then a longer trip at weekends etc. It's never shown a DPF issue nor additional servicing. ...

Re: Would your buy a Discovery 5?

Actually I do remember Volvo reporting early Euro 5 5 cylinder cars had a rise in oil level due to diesel getting into the oil during regens. Not sure how they resolved it on theb20 year old design engine, but haven't seen any ongoing issues on their forum in past 5 years (all DPF and EGR issues wer...

Re: Would your buy a Discovery 5?

really? on the other forum I looked on people appear to be even more negative over the early and frequent oil changes, one having had 2 in 7000 miles and he drives 30k a year, so assume he isn't doing too many short journey's.
