MPG

Post by Sirrah4941 » Fri Apr 21, 2017 10:50 am

Hi.
I was wondering what people were getting on MPg returns in the 2 and 3l diesels? The blurb says 40 odd mpg on the 2 litre ? But it's not the new ingenioum engine so wasn't sure if this was right?
Reading other posts the 3l is the same unit in the old Disco4 so I think it's best to wait for the newer units?

I did a 140 ish mile run this week. - 70 each way - car had 100 miles on it. Mostly motorway, and on the way there kept to the speed limits - achieved 32.8 mpg without trying. On the way back, was driving in a more spirited manner (!) and had a 20 mile stop start A Road detour as the M3 closes at night. Achieved 28.5 mpg. I thought it was pretty good given the age of the car and the nature of the driving. Mine's a 3.0l HSE Luxury - so it's on the heavier side.

I've done about 750 miles so far, mostly round town, and am averaging 31.1mpg. (2L HSE)

Ok so far from the 40 mpgs the book states? Does anyone know when the new engines are due in the cars?

I've done about 700 miles now. 3 litre engine
MPG so far

Car showing 25.6 mpg actual milage 22.76 (towing large caravan)

Car indicated 35.2mpg actual milage 30.54mpg none motorway miles.

So about as accurate as the D4 in other words not very. However I think I am doing better mpg than the D4 so quite happy.
