Picked up our new Discovery 5 First Edition last Friday afternoon from my dealer.
Looked fantastic to start with until closer inspection revealed oil marks on interior headlining and around drivers side seatbelt housing and side pillar!!!
Next problem-piece of 3 foot long interior trim under rear seats-rubber piece with electric socket attached and paper fittting sheet....
Next problem-seal adhesive/foam around rear tailgate sticking out from vehicle?!?!
Yet another problem-distortion coming from speakers when parking sensors activated...
The list goes on.....marks found on rear bumper area which are not removeable! Dealer has ordered 2 more pieces of trim to replace the faulty one and these are also marked straight from the factory.
Needless to say we are without our new car and in a courtesy Disco 5 which I admit is very nice to drive. How can these issues exist?! How can these problems be missed on a PDI????
So disappointed.......spoils the experience of purchasing a brand new vehicle.
Land Rover are not sending any more replacement bumper trims from factory until issue has been investigated by their technical team....
Don't know when I'll be getting my car back!!!!!
Quality control
The finish on the rear valance is different on the dynamic trim-think it's a gloss finish. Factory are looking into this issue but I'm having my car back on Sunday until they can satisfactorily rectify the problem with their bumpers!!! Dealer very apologetic.
Yes think the dynamic pack has a painted rear valance. Getting car back Sunday whilst factory look into issue!!!
Went to collect car AGAIN from dealer today....I rejected it as oil marks still on headlining, marks still on new bumper but worse this time. More issues too so not at all impressed. So we are still in our courtesy car until they sort to my satisfaction-it's a brand new car!!!!' Shouldn't be ANY problems/marks.
